What is the difference between Traditional Commerce and E-Commerce?

Traditional Commerce: In short, having a physical store is traditional commerce. Traditional commerce is a type of business which focuses on the exchange of products and services, and includes all those activities which encourages exchange, in some way or the other.

eCommerce: Exchange of goods, electronically on the internet.

You don’t need to have physical stores here. Customer visit your website/ marketplace and buys the product

Differences:

Cost effectiveness
ECommerce is very cost effective, because you don’t need to maintain a storefront, employees like traditional businesses do.
Time savings:
It takes less than few minutes to order/ make transactions via eCommerce. Whereas traditional commerce will take more time.
Introduction of new products:

In traditional commerce, it takes a lot of time and money to introduce a new product and analyze the response of the customers.

In eCommerce, it is very easy to introduce a product on the website and get the immediate feedback of the customers.
Physical Touch:
ECommerce does not allow physical inspection of goods.

In purchasing goods via e-commerce, customers have to rely on electronic images whereas in traditional commerce, you can check verify the products before you buy.

This is the only reason why I support traditional commerce.
I think these are the major differences, where as there are plenty more.

If time persists, I will come back and post more.
